三 | 「私、レースクイーンとしては2年ほど活動しているのですが、会場の楽屋に誰かが忍び込んで、私物を盗られちゃうことがこの業界では結構あるんですよ。

四 | レースクイーン仲間の間でも前から言われていて、私も気をつけています」 ——運営側に相談をしたり会場ごとに対策が取られたりはしていないのですか? 「基本的にレースクイーンって、サーキットのピットの裏側にあるテントが楽屋になるんです。テントなんで当然、カギもないですしレース中は常に人がテントにいるわけでもありません。私たちもレースの前後でステージに移動したりしますし、テントに誰もいないなんてこともあります」　瀬名さんが活動している場は1レース当たりの観客動員が3〜6万人の「SUPERGT」。国内では最大規模のカーレースである。——大規模なイベントといえど出演するレースクイーンには十分な配慮が取られていないのですね。「これだけ大きなイベントでも物が盗まれるのは怖いですね。今回の『オートサロン』も、楽屋が来場者の通る真後ろとか普通のスペースにありました。一応ドアはあるんですけど、誰でも入れちゃう状況だったんで、ちょっと怖いなと思っていました」 ——会場ではどんなものが盗まれるのでしょうか? 「スーツケースごと持って行かれた女の子もいたそうです。
